Purple Eyes 04:09
While young you were my only breath of air Attaching plastic ears to my brown hair And the oranges that I threw At Jordan and the others You washed my dirty feet with olive oil Me and Jordan broke the windows of the car Painted pictures with oil on the mirror of the side door I don't know if you were angry Or if you even knew, I just wish you'd known we painted them for you In a house that lives forever in my mind You brought us all the things our fathers would not buy And the things your brought to teach us Were written on our bookshelves And the tape players would play till late at night Christmas came and it hadn't snowed for years Just kept waiting for our things to all appear In matching baseball t-shirts And unsuspecting faces Oh how I loved your faded purple eyes My sister puts her hands around my neck And just keeps telling me that time is all that's left But I keep looking at the pictures Of something I remember But its not there now so where did it all go? Did you walk with me the days my feet were sore? Were you there when dark Bernardo came to shore? Did your body fill the room When me and Jenny told the truth? Do you live more like a ghost or like the moon? The spirits that now line the summer's sky Where do you put our grandmas when they die? The ones that we all love, tell us what do they become? I sat in the Grand Caravan and cried.

Aristotle 03:45
Aristotle, meet me in the middle Everything that I've been sold Is getting hard to swallow. Can't we make a bargain? Just tell me what am I supposed to do With pockets as empty as mine I'd stop returning my calls too. I met you in an open house The walls were black You started bleeding from your mouth Without a sound You paint the walls with gold If they were young or white or old I've been eating from that sheet Still get so sick that I can't sleep Oh, Commander Putting your feet upon the ocean floor You've had all the answers, Still ask questions, I don't know what for. Its just that in the present I build my mansions in the vapor sky Thought that's what you meant by that, but I think you had something else in mind You set the open walls to flame You came outside and started dreaming from your mouth With open sound How do I still get so lost Waiting for something, someone? Try to do it all myself When its already been done.
